- A young woman dressed in traditional Korean wedding attire kneels on a mat or platform. Her head is bent downward and her eyes are closed. She is facing toward the left side of the image. Her robes are striped in red, green, pink, white, blue and red. The shoulders of her robe are green. In front of her are her slippers which are red, green and white. She is wearing a small ornamental crown on her head. There is a a bunch of ribbons in her hair at the base of her neck. Behind the young woman there is a decorated screen with Asian scenes and images on it.

- A colour woodcut print. The image is a landscape of a lake area. In the background are two small islands with trees. Behind the larger island to the right is a round, yellow setting sun. The sky in the background appears hazy yellow. In the foreground a lake and a brown vine with green leaves dominates the scene coming in from out of frame at the top left of image and hanging down nearly all the way to the bottom of image. It appears that 5 or 6 colours were used in the print, primarily green, blue, brown and yellow. The artist’s signature is in the bottom rhc “WJ Phillips”. From accompanying write up it could be assumed that the image is of Lake of the Woods area near Winnipeg.

A stump with long bare branches is in bottom left of picture, some green foliage behind it. A lake in bottom half of picture, hills and trees on far side of the lake form the horizon. A grey sky covers the top two thirds of the picture, a yellow sunset is evident on horizon right. Printed on Goyu paper from eight cherry-wood blocks.

A darker green at the bottom of the print is visible. A small stand of trees painted in watercolour is in the bottom left corner of the print.
