Description
A metal butter dish with a high domed lid that has a large flower engraved boldly on one side. The rim of the dish is flattened and has an ornate triangular shaped handle at one side and two metal slots sticking out from the other (probably to hold knife). The dish has four triangular legs, in the same design as the handle, that support the dish. The base is decorated with a drawing of a tepee and has the initials “I.B.”. The dish is also marked with “Standard Silver Co. Ltd. Toronto Quadruple Plate 257 Hard White Metal”.

A long scroll rolled on a wooden dowel, with light red brown piece of silk stiffened with paper lining which rolls around outside to form cover, tying with long purple braided silk cord attached at end, scroll which is pieced in several places, unrolls to show long, continuous scene of monkeys, hares, frogs and other animals engaged in various human activities. Long paper label on end of scroll with Japanese writing, presumably the title. Scroll is contained in long rectangular cardboard box with red brown lid and same label as on scroll pasted to top of lid, and ink stamped Japanese writing inside base of box. Also contains green paper sheets in English and Japanese explaining the scroll, and a sheet of white paper completely in Japanese.Made in Japan.

A model of a lobster pot constructed of wood laths. Two stones secured at base to weight pot, and spike at centre for bait. Narrow door at top of trap opens on leather hinges and closes with wooden latch, long cord from one end holds cork float at its centre and carved tear shape wooden "sinker" at the end. Pot contains small red lobster pin (3.5 cm).
