- Jon Whelan (1952-2022) was a researcher, historian, and collector based in Banff, Alberta. Jon had a special interest in topics related to Banff National Park and Canadian Pacific Railway Company. Jon conducted independent research, as well as research for various authors and historians, from the 1980s onwards. Jon was also an active participant in municipal politics in Banff. "For most of Jon’s life, he was engaged in community affairs and fearless in voicing an opinion. He was successful in raising public awareness and his tenacity achieved a personal goal, which was to initiate the use of video for regular Town of Banff council meetings. - Dorothy served as the Treasurer of the AMS in 1941, and as the President in 1942. Dorothy was the first female president appointed to the AMS.
- Both editions of the Tricolor (published during World War II) document the Queen's War Aid Commission, a subcommittee of the AMS. They each document alumni who served and died overseas. They are both annotated on several pages.

Hess Collection" booklet published by the University of Calgary (1977) and a related Calgary Herald newspaper clipping (1986); one Carl Rungius postcard; and six miscellaneous postcards depicting a former school teacher of Leette Wardle (1911), James Wardle at the Cave and Basin (1920), the Wardles in San Francisco (n.d.), two unidentified men (n.d.), and visitors to the Banff Springs Hotel (n.d.).
- Notes
- Book of Common Prayer inscribed with: “Martha Morey, November 4, 1872. New Westminster, BC. From her mother.” It belonged to James Wardle's mother.
- The Pocket Cook Book contains annotations and written notes tucked in among the pages of the book.
- Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies booklets kept because the Wardles participated in trail rides and there are photos/mentions of James and Dorothy, and possibly Leette.
- The "Sir George Simpson Centennial Celebration" booklet contains a photograph print between pages 32 and 33.
- Some of the postcards are annotated on the back, specifically the postcard depicting the Banff Springs Hotel which is addressed to Dorothy.

- George Edwards Luxton sub-sub-series (C1 - 14 to 20) consists of newspaper clippings, literary manuscripts written by George Luxton, letters and receipts relating to the the Lux Theatre in Banff, Alberta, mortgage papers, a press certificate and one photograph accompanying a letter by Harold Malloch Luxton.
- Louis Luxton sub-sub-series (C1 - 21 to 26) consists of personal and business correspondence,1905-1948 and includes one b&w photograph of Harold Malloch Luxton. Business correspondence includes letters from the Department of Interior - Rocky Mountain Parks and Insurance Companies. Also includes a court summons from the Government of Alberta, 1948. Both the Sarah Luxton and Louis Luxton sub-sub-series contain records transfered from the Glenbow Museum.
