Arthur Gray Harris was born in Banff, Alberta, Canada in 1913. He worked for the Calgary Herald as a newspaper boy, at the Banff Springs Hotel as dining room staff and on the golf course, and as a lifeguard at the Upper Hot Springs, ca.1928.
