Description
An assemblage of painting materials used by A. C. Leighton. They include (a) watercolour palette box, black metal which opens flat with a hinged fitted lid. Inside are many colour slots and mixing spaces, a flip up slot allows the artist to hold the palette with his thumb through the hole. (b) cast metal canvas pliers (c,d) oil paint brushes, long wood handle, metal ferrule and hog's hair bristles (e) cotton rag with paint smears.
