Photographs primarily depict mountain views, buildings, lakes, and people, some of whom are identified. The bulk of the album is dedicated to Christmas cards sent to Lillian Gest by various people from 1949-1958. Inserts pertain to two photographs of a group of people sitting on the front porch of a cabin in Lake O'Hara. Ernest Feuz is seated far right.

Content pertains to the Woodworth family house in Banff [ca. 1900], holiday greetings from family friends, a snowshoe race on the Bow River [1912], "wagoneer" Jim Stewart with a government water wagon, Joe Woodworth and Jo Wardell with family on a trip to Oakville, Ontario, Maud Woodworth Kidney as a teenager and ca. 1970 with her son Jack, a lunch party, a Christmas party, events hosted by the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire and the Order of the Eastern Star, a community play from 1911, the first CPR Depot [1908], ski jumping in Banff, the Banff Royal Canadian Legion war memorial cenotaph, and other community events involving the Kidney family.

Notes: File contains some duplicates; Photographs in this file were accompanied by notes made shortly before or after accession in 1979 giving names/contextual information about photographs. Some notes are by Jim Deegan, 1987. Information has been transferred to the back of each photograph.
