- A landscape oil painting. In the background is a blue sky with big fluffy white clouds and a mountain range with rolling hills in front. After the hills is a line of forest and in the foreground are two small ponds separated by a thin strip of land with tall grass and the ponds are surrounded by a lone, green pine tree on the left and three golden-leaved poplar trees on the right. The artist signature is painted in the bottom rhc in red, “DUNCAN /81”. Au verso, on the top edge of the canvas in black pen is written, “EARLY AUTUMN, MORLEY, ALBERTA”. On the top left corner of the canvas is written, “2500.00”. In the centre at the bottom of the frame is a white label with blue ink, “Gainsborough Galleries (1974) Ltd.
