Boorne & May specialized in print photographs depicting views of Western Canada and the Canadian Pacific Railway. Boorne and May sold their business to Jas. E. Miers in 1893.

Scope & Content: File consists of two framed photograph prints pertaining to views of Lake Minnewanka and an unidentified building with mountains in the background [possibly a closer view of the same location]. History / Biographical: The Mile-Hi Lodge in Banff was owned and operated by John D. "Jack" Anderson (1917-1964). Anderson purchased the property located at 402 Banff Ave. in 1956 and operated the Mile-Hi Lodge until his death in 1964. The lodge remained in business under Anderson's estate until at least 1969, but was likely closed prior to the property's sale in 1973.
