Description
A wooden tennis racket with a laminated handle of light and dark wood with incised vertical lines. At the end of the racket the wood is carved into a tail-like shape. The racket is strung with natural gut with vertical and red gut horizontally with two rose of blue at the top and bottom. The throat of the racket has a logo “LAKEVIEW” which is inside a light purple rectangle and a red triangle upside down, with gold outlines and foliage. Underneath the logo is a light purple band, and above the logo on either side is another thick strip of a light purple. Next to these bands is some strings wrapped around - white and blue. The backside of the throat reads “BEST IS BEST TRADE S&S MARK L THRO THE WORLD” in gold with two triangle overlaid to make a 6 point star. This racket is held within a press. The press is stamped with “SLAZENGERS DEMON” at the top and “MADE IN CANADA” at the bottom - on the top side. The press is held together twist knobs and springs.

Description
A tennis racket, press and case.a) A wooden tennis racket with a laminated frame wrapped at the bottom with bands of red, yellow and black (gut?). The handle is wrapped with a strip of red fabric above a section incised with vertical lines. A red leather tip at the end is marked “When not in use, must be kept in a press.” The neck has a trademark symbol, '”Z” inside a red, yellow and black circle. The racket is strung with natural gut crossed with red gut.b) Racket cover of purple waterproofed canvas that fits closely over the racket head and ties at the neck. c) Wooden racket press with two joined square frames of wood with large metal bolts through the corners and springs between the frames. The bolts have small hinged handles on the heads that are marked “By Royal Letters, patented, Nos 263472 209870.” One bolt is hinged to swivel down through a slot in the frame to allow the removal of the racket. The frame is also marked “Slazenger’s Ltd., London” and “Special.”

The racket is strung with natural gut with three rows of red at the top and bottom. The handle is marked “Best is Best thro’ the World,” “S&S/L” in the centre of a hexagram and the other side is marked “The Demon.” b) A soft case of light brown denim laminated to a green plaid lining made to fit the racket. The cover has a flap at the top with a brass snap. There is a canvas handle on one side. The flap has “W.A. Brewster, Banff, Alta.,” “1906 D.L.M. Jr.” and “_M_” written on it.

A tennis racket with a fabric case.a) Wooden tenis racket with a laminated handle of light and dark wood with incised vertical lines and a leather covering at the heel marked “When not in use keep in a press.” The racket is strung with natural gut with three rows of red at bottom and five rows red at the top. The throat of the racket has a man with a tennis racket atop a large tennis ball (trademark) and “Sears” in gold on the other side. The numbers “14-2” and “3” are stamped in the side of the racket along with “P.A. Moore” that is scratched in one side.b) Soft case with dark red plaid wool outside laminated to brown burlap inside. The flip-top flap of the case closes with a button. The case is edged with a leather binding and has a leather carying handle at one side.
