Description
Brown leather covered suitcase with metal claps, hinges and a keyed lock. The suitcase is lined with canvas and has four leather straps inside. One outside side panel is marked “R.B.M.” in black. The suitcase contains: a silver (hallmarked) card holder with the initials “PAM” engraved on the front, a metal bookmark with a triangle on top containing “M” in fancy lettering, a plexiglass mangifying rod, a pair of metal cuticle trimmers, a pencil, an Australian Five Pound bill, and a box of “LIEUT. A tightly fitted light brown canvas cover over a large rectangular natural coloured leather suitcase. Cover has keyhole cut through for handle, and zips across ends and along one side with two zippers meeting at the middle by the handle. Suitcase is rectangular box of natural coloured pigskin covering a stiff, cardboard? form. Leather is stitched on and reinforced at corners with heavy leather patches riveted on. Box like lid stitched to bottom across back and supported inside with two strap hinges. Two heavy brass snap latches with keyholes in round locks on each side, English Lever". Heavy leather handle attached to middle of one side with heavy brass fittings. Inside lined with leather and has two canvas straps attached to bottom to secure clothes. Covered with travel stickers of hotels, steamship lined, railroads, etc. from around the world.

Two brass snap latches with keyholes in squares beside. Key attached to handle with string, interior completely lined with buff coloured moire, with shallow, 5.5 cm box like tray the full size of the suitcase, resting on two small ledges inside at the top. Tray lifts out with two leather tabs. Single large pocket across the lid fastens at the middle with a leather tab. Suitcase covered with travel stickers from around the world.

A medium sized, soft sided, blue vinyl suitcase with brass coloured zipper around three sides. Boxy shape is enforced by metal frame around edges and the perimeter, hard plastic handle trimmed with brass coloured metal held by metal plate at top. Opening zips around three sides, with special locking clasp on pull tab of zipper which slips into bracket, Hinomoto No.90 in vinyl tab at base of suitcase. Full length zipper across front of bag opens large pocket. Four metal button feet on bottom. Inside, lined with grey blue fabric, has large slit pocket trimmed with vinyl in lid, two vinyl straps to fasten around clothes, and a stiffened piece of cloth covered plastic riveted to the back frame which becomes the base when the suitcase is carried. Two white squares of stiff plastic attached at corners for extra firmness of case.
