- Description
- A small, silver coloured, oval wristwatch with delicate chain mesh band. Watch case of white gold ? with fine design engraved around sides and edges framing dial. Stem at right side pulls to adjust time. Crystal and enclosing frame hinged at top of watch to open. Dial of white enamel with numerals around outside of small oval band marking minutes, delicate black hands. U-shaped metal loops at top and bottom of watch hold flat, mesh link band of white gold. One end of band passes through loop on other end and double back on shelf to adjust to size with a tightening buckle device with engraved design on it. Marks: on dial, "Swiss" on back of band buckle, "18 K, hallmark ".

- A simple, round, brass coloured pocket watch with large stem, crown and ring. Case is absolutely plain with bezel framing the dial, crystal is bevelled. Enamelled white face with plain black numerals around edge inside a band of small lines marking off the minutes. The number six is replaced with a small recessed dial containing a second hand and marked off with small lines noting the seconds. Plain, straight black hands. Large, flat, circular crown at top of watch, with D-shaped ring for attaching fob, watch runs when wound. Marks: on face, "Westclox Day shock resistant made in Canada".

- An ornate, engraved, gold pocket watch with separate winding stem. (a) watch, completely engraved around edge, stem bracket, and fob ring, with scrolled vines. Back textured with spiral crosshatching and plain shield shaped plaque at centre surrounded by engraved flowers and vines, gold framed front crystal opens. Porcelain dial beneath with delicate Roman numerals, a recessed circular second dial at bottom, and hair like wire hands. Back of case also hinged to open, ornately engraved plate beneath, two places for winding and setting hands. Marks: inside back cover, "18, hallmark, 21547", engraved plate, "F. Cooper, London, detached lever, thirteen jewels" . (b) winding stem, long, stemmed key with square hole in end to fit winding knobs, and oval shaped handle at top. Small ball around stem at middle allows key to be turned without twisting fob ring attached. Watch runs but hands cannot be set.

- Two heavy, large, silver hoop earrings with large teardrop-shaped turquoise stone in heavy silver setting attached at one side. Stones set in heavy silver teardrop shaped setting with double row of gadrooning at bottom supporting a series of small silver balls heaped on top around the stone (a) larger stone setting has four larger silver balls at point of teardrop, silver stopping ring at one end of hoop. 15.5 cm leather thong attached to hoop beneath setting.( b) smaller, texture worn on hoop. - A collection of four brooches by Anna Laterman, three enamelled, 1 silver. (a) oval black and white enamel on copper, mostly white shading to black along one side, dark nebula against luminous white on opposite side, enamel crackled. Back enamelled solid black with copper bar holding hinged pin clasp affixed at middle. (b) rectangular black enamel on copper, cloisonne outlined flower stalk with stylized, round blossoms filled in with red, orange and yellow enamel. Back enamelled black, copper bar pin attached as (a) Small copper ring for hanging on back near top. (Marks: scratched into back: “To Catharine/ love Anna 1974”) (c) round pink, red and black enamel on copper disk. Abstract design in red and black cloisonne against pink background. Back enamelled black, pin clasp missing. (d) silver circles, five large, major circles of silver form outline of brooch, with smaller circle motifs playing upon them. Some circles are smooth and shiny, others stippled, and some a combination. Some parts of certain circles defined with niello (darkening), long silver pin spike clasps across back.
