(a) lace like border of four rows of drawnwork forming a mesh like lace 1.2 cm wide along the edge, absolutely plain square of linen inside. (b) linen square with narrow rolled hem and geometric drawnwork design in each corner formed by lines of pulled threads forming squares with an open mesh triangle. (c) sheer linen square with narrow rolled hem and white machine embroidered flower outlined in each corner. Pencil drawing of flower can be seen under embroidery.

- Description
- A rectangular ecru linen bag with green and blue embroidered trees and blue handle. Flat bag has on each side three stylized triangular trees made up of small green triangles and sitting in large blue pots which have been worked in cross stitch on coarse linen canvas. Border of small green triangles and blue lines along bottom and top of bag. Twisted blue cotton cord handles are attached through small ivory rings covered with stitching and making a small hole at each side of the bag. Double handles are tied in bows at each side and together at top. Small, hollow, pointed sterling silver cone, awl? is tied through a small hole at the top by a narrower blue cord to one of the handles. Lined with green Japanese silk.

- A white cardboard card holding a set of needles of various sizes and shapes with the use of each printed below. Flap of clear, stiff plastic stapled to front covers needles. Two semi circular, curved needles ("mattresses seats"), one long, heavy, straight needle ("chairs sofas"), one short needle with three cornered point ("fur, coats, gloves, leather"), and one long, heavy needle with flattened, bent point ("sacks, bags, hampers"). Missing are needles for "carpets and heavy work", and "tents, deck chairs, canvas". Needles pass through elliptical holes in the card and are stitched through two pieces of thin black plastic on back to be held in place, .9 cm hole punched at top of card.
