Brown and blue slate rock in the foreground with one lone stilted tree to the left; rocks are higher on the left almost meeting the walkway on the top of the dam. Lower mid-centre of the painting is the mass of swirling green, blue and white water rushing from the gates of the falls. The grey gates with water rushing down are mid-centre to the right. The walkway on the top of the dam extends throughout top-half of the painting. An outline of a rider and two horses are off to centre right, top of a mauve mountain behind and cloudy blue sky.

Description
Mottled green stone for the base is shaped with a ledge. (a) Lower base has 2 holes drilled for the man. (b) The man is dressed in full parka , his face is carved out of ivory and set into parka, carved features with red orange markings. Both hands have a hole drilled through, no fingers. The two bears are carved out of ivory. Both have carved features with black and claws in black. (d) One is sitting and looking over his left shoulder, (c) the other is standing on his back legs, he has a hole drilled in right chest. The bow (e) is slightly curved with notched both ends to which is tied a long piece of very thin sinew. It appears that a spear is missing.
