Description
Pieced and stitched seal skin and an all over design. The wall hanging gets wider at the center and then gets narrow as it comes back and meets the side edges again creating a bow shape at the top and bottom. Through the center of the wall hanging the seal skin is a darker colour then the top and bottom edge. Each shape in this work has been cut from a piece of seal skin and pieced into another of a different colour to create the images. In the center area on the left you can see a male figure holding what could be a fish in front of an animal that may be a bear or seal. Behind this figure are three dogs looking left. On the right side there is a man in a boat and another boat upside down. Also in the center there is another man in a boat, another standing, two igloos and a dog. In the lighter bottom arched area there is a bird on the left, in the center there is a male figure, a bear and another seal. The top area includes from the right, upside down a man, a walrus, a polar bear eating and two seals. The border is 3.5 cm wide.
