Dimensions: 13.0 x 30.0 cm

Description: Circular pouch with two straps with buckskin ties. Green white triangular beading on straps, pouch white "Queen's Crown" beaded on green ground is on front face of cotton lined pouch. Backside of pouch beaded with silver at edge, star in middle and surrounding V shapes, all on red ground. Backside of pouch beaded on canvas and front side beaded on buckskin. Fringe tassels of silver beads on lower two thirds of pouch edge.

Dimensions: 7.5 x 14.5 x 60.6 cm

Description: A rod carved from burled piece of wood with a band of light brown fur at top and an antler prong set crosswise in a notch across the top tied securely with sinew. Antler piece painted with a black and a red band at the end. Large globular burl at top has features of two circular faces charred into wood and another face profile of person painted red. Burl on one side in the middle has carved profile of horse's head painted red with features accented by charring. Two smaller burls near bottom are carved into animal face painted red and mouse painted yellow, with features accented by charring. Four black and red bands are around stick below top burl and another band of charred dots is around stick below middle burl. Group of three feathers tied just above middle burl with sinew.

Title: Dancing Sticks

Date: 1900 – 1930

Material: wood; bone; horn; glass; feathers; fibre; skin

Description: Bead wrapped wooden sticks with bone and/or horn points (a) wooden circle 7.0 dia. on end, wrapped with green and mauve beads. 2 groups of feathers hang from circle. 3 golden eagle tail and 3 hawk wingfeathers, shaft wrapped with cotton, beads attached. Bands of green, maroon and mauve. Double barbed point 29.3 long is bone (b) 5.5 at base tapers to 2.3 at top. Completely cloth covered, bottom half rows of beads, blue, maroon, yellow. Double barbed point 25.0 long is bone, top has 2 bovine horns, points 16.0 apart, nailed onto shaft. 2 strips of hide ca 3.0 wide over top and around base join (c) forked willow stick, cloth wrapped, beads in bands of blue, yellow,red. 1/5 of beads missing. Short buckskin fringe at bottom of fork and at join of point. Point is 17.0 long antler carved at end for sharper point, gouge each side, fork painted yellow, blue, red. (d) forked willow stick, similar to (c)except more beads missing, fork complete, point missing.
