A miniature, wooden, Norwegian folk fiddle. Carved from piece of wood, with four nylon strings. Very accurate reproduction. Hourglass shape with long stem and carved animal head at end. Tiny wooden bridge supports strings. Painted white along fingerboard and tailpiece holding strings. Outline of fiddle decorated with white dots. Small circular blue tag hangs from stem, "made in Norway/ Hus-fild. Back of fiddle has metal safety pin type clasp fastened to disk glued to it. (in brown batik-patterned cardboard box)

A drum made of hide tightly stretched across a round (wood?) frame. The hide is dyed yellow with a red border and the design is divided into four quadrants by zig-zag lines. A red teepee with two figures in the door flap is drawn at the centre of the drum. Four similar yellow teepees are around the outside with the base of each resting on the red border. Metal disks on nails have been added as jingles.

(MFG: Fitrite).(b) finger pick set (2.5 x 1.8 x 2.0) six metal rings that fit over the finger tips, adjustable band has circles cut out along it, flame shaped fingernail rises from band, curling inward slightly, and with cut out circle at middle. (mfg: National) (c) finger pick (2.5 x 1.9 x 2.0) as (b) but without cut out circles (mfg: Artisto) (d) finger picks (3.0 x 1.7 x 1.9) two metal bands that wrap around finger tip, widening near the end, then narrowing to a point that extends off to one side of the finger. (m) bridge (4.7 x 1.4 x 1.9) low, unfinished wood bridge with small dark support perpendicularly across under middle, short legs thicken slightly at base, series of small notches across top, some deliberately cut into wood, some worn in odd places from strings (mfg: Grover).
