Wood base 27.0x14.7x2.0; 0.2 dia. wire frame and ends attached to sides of base, thinner, wavey wire encloses the box. 21.0 cm long spring attached to both ends. Sliding wire handles each end. 12.5 cm long wire handle centretop, hanging wire hook inside, numerous wire pieces twisted and looped. 4 nails (without heads) near each inside corner on base. Painted on bottom:"Boswell".

A small, empty, circular box of Rough On Rat Poison with intricate labelling with many slogan’s and instructions. The top lid lifts off and features a dark red label with lots of black text including, “POISON!” “ROUGH ON RATS” “ANTIDOTE -ON- SIDE LABEL”. The bottom has a yellow label with more black text that includes French writing. Along the sides of the box is more labelling in red text that includes “A RAT POSION”, “ROUGH ON RATES” with skulls in between each word, “DON’T DIE IN THE HOUSE”, “POISON”.
