- A decorative dish made from a hand-coloured photograph. The scene is of the Bow Falls with the natural landscape, tinted slightly with green, pink and yellow, the river is grey and the falls white. A man on horseback stands in the river at the bottom right looking at the falls. On the back is the seal of Royal Doulton, made in England, below it: BOW FALLS BANFF NATIONAL PARK D6471.

Obverse slightly concave with relief casting covering surface. Ring of animals crawl around circular central motif, with other odd, organic shapes covering surface. Hole pierced through narrow flange at top to hold chain. Chain of heavy silver links.

- A long scroll rolled on a wooden dowel, with light red brown piece of silk stiffened with paper lining which rolls around outside to form cover, tying with long purple braided silk cord attached at end, scroll which is pieced in several places, unrolls to show long, continuous scene of monkeys, hares, frogs and other animals engaged in various human activities. Long paper label on end of scroll with Japanese writing, presumably the title. Scroll is contained in long rectangular cardboard box with red brown lid and same label as on scroll pasted to top of lid, and ink stamped Japanese writing inside base of box. Also contains green paper sheets in English and Japanese explaining the scroll, and a sheet of white paper completely in Japanese.Made in Japan.
