- A glass tube, filled with a clear liquid, secured by metal straps in a slit cut in a wooden frame. A vertical metal strip on the left side of the wood indicates the weather with “Stormy”, “Change” and “Fair”. There is a screw eye on top for hanging.

- Barometer in brass casing with brass suspension loop at top. "AJL & Co." over "B" (representing Boston) within oval on casing back. Dial shows pressure range of 26 to 31 inches. Indicators such as "stormy rain change fair very dry". Also "Made in England for Andrew J. LLoyd & Co. Boston". "Aneroid barometer". Blue needle fluctuates with pressure and brass needle is manual needle which can be moved daily and compared with following day's reading. Manual needle movable on face. Screw adjustment on back of barometer adjusts blue needle to local conditions.
