- Description
- Cylindrical, open bottomed container with hinged lid which has a spoon opening, a knobbed handle and rest which, when lid opens rests on the attached handle on outside of container. Open silverwork pattern in bars and overlapped circles. "C.R." monogrammed on lid and silver container acts as frame for cylindrical, dark blue glass liner. Spoon is gold plated and has curved, sterling handle which terminates in scroll design and "C.R." monogrammed on handle. Both have same three hallmarks: crown, "M" and a third unidentifiable hallmark. Both pot and handle marked "sterling", pot has scratched "3145" and stamped "3558", no numbers on spoon.
