- Description
- A straight sided ceramic sugar bowl with lid. Bowl is made from brown clay that has been glazed with a shiny glaze on the interior and base and has been glazed in yellow and painted with an image of a house on the exterior. Opposite the house are the words “Time and tide wait for no man” that have been left unglazed (wax technique). The lid has a small hole in the rim where a spoon would stick out. The lid has a green vine painted in a circle around the small knob. On the bottom is a black stamp that reads “DEVON MOTTO WARE ENGLAND” and has other, illegible text.
