- Description
- Two travelling alarm clocks of same style in small, square cases. (a) tan leather, (b) red plastic. Both open by pressing small brass bar on edge. Square clock inside is hinged at top and swings forward at bottom to rest on the brass bar latch which opens case.(a) tan leather, square, white, glass covered face is held in brass frame as large as the case itself, hour numerals around edge, with luminous yellow dots at each, and brass hands painted with luminous yellow, to glow in the dark. Clock works enclosed in round case in back with two keys for winding time and alarm, two knobs for setting, and a loudness lever, alarm stop button on side. Lined with ribbed fabric covered with plastic. Marks: on face, "Tourist, seven jewels, Swiss", on back of clock, "Swiss", on lining cover, "genuine leather". Note: leather frayed and scuffed, clock does not run.( b) red plastic, case has brass coloured, square frame from which hinges the square, plastic framed clock face at the top.. Clock swings forward to rest on frame. Thick clear plastic covers dial face which has red hour numerals around edge with minutes marked off by lines, brass hands are painted with green luminous paint, to glow in the dark. Clockworks inside round metal case painted red, at the back. Single winding key for time and alarm, two setting knobs, and button to stop alarm, clock runs. Marks: on face, "Seth Thomas,2 jewels, Germany", on clock back, "Germany" Note: case latch does not work.
