- Description
- In the lower third of the picture is a view of mountains. In the left foreground is a jagged brown-grey mountainslope. On the right-hand side is a larger portion of a jagged violet-grey mountainslope. Beyond these lies a peak surrounded by a glacier. The peak is to the left of centre with exposed rock of dark grey, and snow (with light violet-blue shadows. A glacier swings around the right side of the mountain's base. Grey clouds move through the upper two-thirds of the picture. Two lines of white-edged clouds seem to touch the right side of the peak and extend away from it. A horizontal gash of light blue sky appears through the clouds above the peak.
