The bas-relief is of a kneeling woman weaving on a loom tied to a tree trunk. Carved into the ceramic piece “IXCHEL” to the viewer’s right, and underneath in the middle “GODDESS of the the MOON and WEAVING”.

Flat base with arched top supported by three bent twig hoops, nets of cord at each end of pot tunnel inward and attach to round hoop openings to allow lobster to enter pot. Two stones secured at base to weight pot, and spike at centre for bait. Narrow door at top of trap opens on leather hinges and closes with wooden latch, long cord from one end holds cork float at its centre and carved tear shape wooden "sinker" at the end. Pot contains small red lobster pin (3.5 cm).
