History / Biographical
Harold Malloch Luxton [1884-1915] was the youngest child of parents Sarah Jane Luxton and William Fisher Luxton. Harold served as a member of the Canadian Infantry (Alberta Regiment, 31st Battalion) during World War I, and was killed in action on December 18, 1915 at the age of 31. Harold is buried at the Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery in Belgium.

Scrapbook is titled "Canada and the Present War" and consists of newspaper clippings including some full-page excerpts and smaller articles. Scrapbook includes table of contents on first page [see "Content Details"]. Content pertains to Canadian industry, trade, agriculture, national exports, wartime production, and national and global politics; includes statistics for these subjects from World War I and World War II eras [1914 to ca.1942].
Two metal binder rings were removed to prevent risk of future rust damage and contamination. Scrapbook has been re-fastened with unbleached twine and interleaved with acid-free tissue.

File consists of a scrapbook of academic, sports, and military newsclippings, certificates, and letters. Includes documents from Trinity College School, Ontario Militia, Alpine Club of Canada, and Royal Military College of Canada. Contains newspaper clippings, hand-written letters, certificates, programmes, ledger pages, cartoons and sketches, telegrams, invitations, and steamliner tickets.
Dorothy served as the Treasurer of the AMS in 1941, and as the President in 1942. Dorothy was the first female president appointed to the AMS.
Both editions of the Tricolor (published during World War II) document the Queen's War Aid Commission, a subcommittee of the AMS. They each document alumni who served and died overseas. They are both annotated on several pages.
