The Wheeler House was the personal residence of Arthur O. Wheeler, co-founder and first president of the Alpine Club of Canada. The house stood adjacent to the first ACC clubhouse on Sulphur Mountain, located approximately halfway between the Bow River and the Upper Hot Springs.
Wheeler constructed the house in 1920, it recieved official heritage recognition in 1994, and was demolished in 2011.

Item consists of one 16 mm motion picture titled "Charge of the Snow Brigade" by Gerald Potterton of Potterton Productions Inc. Potterton was the Writer, Producer, and Director. Bruno Engler served as a Special Advisor for the project. Filmed at Bow Lake and at the Peyto Lake Lookout, the plot follows an outlaw trapper who steals a snowmobile from outside a North West Mounted Police outpost, prompting a Marx Brothers-style chase wherein the Mountie attempts to apprehend the outlaw on snowshoes, skis, horse, truck, and snowmobile, which he eventually does.
