(a) the bag is print of floral bouquets on the outside, plain yellow cotton inside, a disc of card provides a bottom for the basket, and in the middle of it is an attached pin cushion corded to the card. Inside the bag are pockets which lap from the walls of the bag into which tape, buttons, etc., could be placed. Double draw strings can gather the bag to close it. (b) is a needle book of card covered with the same yellow floral print cotton and lined with plain yellow cotton, a cord holding in a piece of flannel into which needles can be placed. Never used, but there are a few pins in the built in pincushion, and a length of white satin ribbon in one of the pockets.

(a) shuttle (24.6 x .7 x 5.1) hand carved, wooden, flat board with pointed end, and deep arch carved in other end, cut out window about half its length at pointed end has long carved spike up the middle nearly the length of the opening. Note: wood split through at point.( b) shuttle (25.7 x .5 x 2.0) as (a) but narrower and finer. Hard twist white cord wound from bottom arch up around spindle and back, then up other side. Note: warped along length. (c) shuttle (19.4 x .5 x 2.9) as (a) but smaller and harder wood with brown speckling. (d) shuttle (17.7 x .7 x 2.7) as (a) but hardwood, maple? and more carefully carved and smoothed. (e) shuttle (17.7 x .7 x 2.5) as (d) but squared at edges. - Deep, oval teakettle win flat base, straight sides which, at top, terminate in ridged band and slope gently to oval rim opening into which brass knobbed copper lid fits. Two vertical, brass brackets are screwed into pot and hold horizontal wooden handle, long, curved spout on end of kettle contains ridge and facet detail.
