- Harry Lines was born 1933 in London, England and served two years with the British National Service. Lines attended the City of Leeds Training College, 1959-1961 and Carnegie College of Physical Education, 1964-1965 before moving to Canada in 1968. Lines taught physical education at Hudson Bay School in Saskatchewan, in High River, Alberta and with the Banff School District at Banff Community High School from 1970 to 1981. He earned his Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Calgary, Alberta in 1977. Lines was also a rugby coach and referee. Harry Lines died March 2006 in Banff, Alberta.

- Helen and George Shandruk were residents of Banff, Alberta, Canada. Helen Isabel (Isobella) Stuart, 1899-2000, came to Banff from Scotland in 1911? with her parents, David Stuart, 1863-1919, and Isobella Stuart, 1872-1945, and sister Caroline "Carrie" (Crandell). The family resided at 119 Beaver Street, where Helen lived until 1995. Helen worked at the Banff Post Office, also at the Sign of the Goat and the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. George Shandruk, 1914-1993, was born at Bankhead, Alberta and raised at Canmore, Alberta. He worked for many years as a fishing guide. Helen and George married in 1948.

- Helen Louise (Fulmer) Wells, 1893-1980, was a long-time resident of Banff, Alberta, Canada. She was the daughter of pioneer Banff residents Minnie Christina Fulmer, 1868-1962, and Walter P. Fulmer, 1863-1948. The family also included another daughter, Alice G. Fulmer, 1896-1989. The Fulmers were very active in local life and recreation and made numerous trips in the Canadian Rockies. In 1927, Helen Fulmer married Fred Wells, 1873-1975. The couple lived in Banff until the death of Fred Wells in 1975 at which time Helen Wells retired to Edmonton. Helen Wells was particularly interested in the history and Banff and area.

- Helen Jo and Ernest Kennedy were residents of Banff, Alberta, Canada. Ernest Kennedy, d.1972, was Banff's dentist for many years. Josephyne H. (Helen Jo) Kennedy, d.1977, was involved with amateur theatre and other community activities. With Margaret Greenham and others, she founded the Banff Literary-Dramatic Club in 1924 and was involved with the club until it ceased activities. She studied theatre at the Banff School of Fine Arts from 1933 to 1937 and specialized in make-up. During the Second World War, she worked with the Canadian Red Cross Society while Ernest Kennedy performed dentistry.

- Herbert E. Sampson, 1871-1962, was a lawyer and mountaineer at Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Sampson was a life member of the Alpine Club of Canada, 1910, President, 1930-1932, and Honorary President, 1945. He attended all but six annual mountaineering camps between 1911 and 1956 and made over seventy-five ascents, including two first ascents.

- Hermann Hagedorn was an American writer who was known for his biographical works, particularly on Theodore Roosevelt, as well as poetry and novels. Late in life, Hagedorn became interested in Moral Rearmament. During a visit to the movement's headquarters on Mackinac Island, Michigan in 1958, he met George McLean (Chief Walking Buffalo of the Stoney Indians), an active proponent and traveller on behalf of Moral Rearmament. Intrigued by McLean's character and philosophy, Hagedorn wrote articles as well as drafts of a biography tentatively titled "A Chief in Two Worlds," but died before the work could be completed.

- Rev. Canon Hollingworth Tully Montgomery, 1885-1965, was an Anglican minister at Banff, Alberta, Canada. Montgomery was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick and educated in Atlantic Canada and England. He succeeded his father, Canon Henry Montgomery, as rector of St. George's in the Pines Anglican Church in Banff in 1924, a position which he held until his retirement in 1955. In 1939, he conducted a service for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth during the royal visit to Banff. Montgomery was married to Mary Ruth Montgomery and had two children.

Sibbald, 1865-1938, was Chief Warden for Rocky Mountains Park (Banff National Park), Alberta, Canada beginning 1909; Dominion Parks inspector until 1923; and Superintendent of Kootenay National Park from 1923 until 1932. Sibbald, son of Andrew Sibbald, was born in Ontario and came to Alberta in 1875. He was educated at Morley and later became Indian Agent there and at Gleichen. He was in business with Norman Luxton for a time before joining the National Parks service in 1909

- Hubert Unsworth Green, 1886-1962, was a police officer, naturalist, writer and national park warden at Dauphin, Manitoba and Banff, Alberta, Canada. He was also known by pseudonyms, Cecil Erskine and Tony Lascelles. Green came to Canada in 1905 and served with the Royal North West Mounted Police for twenty-five years. Much of his service was in the vicinity of Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba, and there he became interested in wildlife research. While living in Dauphin, Green pursued this research, much influenced by Grey Owl. In the late 1930s, Green came to Banff and served as a temporary warden during the war, continuing as a special warden until 1956. He completed numerous wildlife studies of bighorn sheep, wolves, elk, wolverine and moose. In later years, he was engaged in the study of western Canadian history, particularly ranching.

Manuscripts include newspaper and magazine articles on conservation topics, government conservation studies and reports, and historical manuscripts.
- Conservation and natural history series consists of four sub-series: A. Flora and fauna, 1927-1962 (prints and negatives, transparencies, other); B. - Isaac (Ike) Mills, 1891-1964, was a guide, dog musher, hunter, horseman and businessman at Banff, Alberta, Canada. Born in Yorkshire, Mills came to Banff in 1910 where he guided during the summers and pioneered the use of sled dogs for winter transportation. Following service in the First World War, he transported mail by dogsled and in the 1920s, worked in the motion picture industry on dog films. His sled Huskies raced in the late 1920s and were used in the Skoki area in the 1930s. Mills hunted cougars for bounty outside Banff National Park with trained dogs during the 1930s. In 1939 Mills was ordered to remove his hunting and sled dogs from the national park. Mills also operated a livery stable and riding school on Bear Street in Banff from 1930 until his death.

- Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire (I.O.D.E.), Mount Rundle Chapter, was formed in 1913 at Banff, Alberta- and included a number of prominent women in the community. Much of their work was patriotic in nature, particularly during the First World War, when a relief fund was organized. This chapter continued community service activities during the inter-war period. The Mount Temple Chapter, formed 1939, included younger women. Both chapters performed war work during the Second World War. The Mount Rundle Chapter disbanded in 1951, while the Mount Temple Chapter continues to provide community service.
