Each buckle is in two parts, the right band part of which slides into a slot on the left hand portion, and each is divided into an overall symmetric pattern of three panels. (a) is in deep relief and is an image of a dragon with heavily scaled body and ferocious expression, clawed feet in each panel. (b) is shallow relief of dragon in each panel, stylized body quite flat and a stylized knob head. Both have a border of conventional designs.

Rectangular sword guard with cast relief of chrysanthemums and butterfly with holes cut through each side to accommodate small dirk handle. (b) dirk, steel bladed with copper handle with relief casting of brass dragon on one side. (c) scabbard, slightly curved wood covered with black enamel containing green flecks, blunt end, top of scabbard has slot on one side leading to pocket in scabbard to accommodate small dirk. Opposite side from slot has semi-circular horn ? lug threaded with a length of black silk cord.
