Description
Plain cardboard box of 3 1/4 x 5 1/3[?] Kodak Dry Mounting Tissue held closed with a long strip of paper adhesive wrapped over the lid to the bottom of the box and a paper adhesive label on the lid displaying the manufacturer and direction of use details. Dry Mounting Tissues were a kind of adhesive used to attach a print to a support or mount [like card stock, cardboard, wood, foam core, etc] that is activated by heat and pressure. A smooth piece of paper would be laid over the print, with the tissue between the print and the support, and then a hot iron would be pressed over the whole area, melting the tissue and activating the glue. Once cool, the glue was set.

One box of a dozen 9x12cm Eastman Commercial Panchromatic Films - unopened. The box has a large paper label on the lid containing the manufacturer and development details throughout, as well as “9.80” written in pencil at the top. The edges and bottom of the box are sealed with brown paper adhesive tape, the right-hand side is stamped with “DEVELOP BEFORE APRIL 1923.”Panchromatic film is a kind of black-and-white emulsion that is sensitive to all visible light wavelengths and creates realistic photographs - it could also be used successfully for colour and black-and-white motion pictures as early as 1913. One downside to panchromatic film was that it had to be developed in complete darkness as it was sensitive to the red lights standard in many darkrooms.

Different concentrations or chemicals used could yield different results, usually in regards to contrast and colour of the finished image, depending on the photographic base.

Other items in the box with the projector are a user’s manual and various adverts for View-Master slides. The box has a deep black body and a white and silver lid. The box of View-Master slides contains 62 round slides in individual paper sleeves, a small green plastic-covered book on Alpine Wildflowers, and View-Master advertising pamphlets. The slides mostly pertain to tropical locations and National Parks throughout North America - all appear to have been purchased, rather than made by the Crosby family. The box has a black body and a shiny gold lid.

Description
Empty cardboard box of Kokak Solio Toning and Fixing Powder cartridges with manufacturer and product details printed throughout the white box in red and black. Toning powders were chemical compounds designed to react with the emulsion layers of positive photographs that altered the tone (or colour) of the image, usually turning a standard black-and-white image into warmer shades of red, brown, and/or purple - sepia is a very common tone. Additionally, toning powders could be combined with a fixing agent that stabilized the emulsion layer to prevent it breaking down or fading, flaking off, or otherwise ruining the image as it set.

Round box of one dozen B Size Prana Sparklet Bulbs with manufacturer details embossed throughout the lid except for where a thin pale blue paper adhesive label with directions of use bisects the lid - this label wraps around to the bottom of the box, but has been torn at both ends, allowing access to the contents. The bulbs are small rounded oblongs with a short spout at one end arranged in a circle with the spouts pointing to the middle. Sparklet bulbs were used in liquid aerators [or syphons], such as those for soda water. Containing compressed carbon dioxide, the bulbs would be inserted into the spout of the syphon so that the seal is compressed and the gas is activated - once the hiss of the gas was heard, the bottle would be shaken, held still for a moment, and then the handle was pressed to release a stream of carbonated soda.
