(c) peg (5.9 x .9 x 2.3) as (b) but slightly smaller, hole through shaft lowe. (d) bridge (4.7 x 3.9 x .5) cut out of unfinished wood with scrolled carving at sides around short legs and at middle, arched top with four shallow notches for strings. Marks: on side, "PANPI (TC monogram trademark)" (e) bridge (4.5 x 3.2 x .5) as (d). Description
A small, delicate gold wristwatch with black cord band. Gold casing frames square dial with high, rounded, thick crystal. Stem at right side pulls to set time, gold numerals in circle inside small dots at edge which mark the minutes, straight gold hands. Finial at top and bottom of case form bracket which holds heavy black cord watchband. Cord is doubled through bracket and held together with small gold clip. Ends are clamped with gold accordion folding clasp which snaps closed and has small lever at one end with small sliding bar for finer adjustment to size. Marks: on dial, "Elgin De Luxe" on back of case, "Elgin, hallmark, 10 K gold filled. On back of clasp, "G.F. Sterling base , hallmark," and patent number.
