Description
A Daily Double cigar box filled with three Tintex Tints and Dyes. a) A beige coloured cigar box that features black text that reads “Daily Double DOUBLE VALUE DD DOUBLE SATISFACTION” across the lid, along the edges of each plane of the box is red tape that repeats the text “DAILY DOUBLE DD”. Across the back of the box are thick strips of brown tape that obscure the text along the sides, both which read “Daily Double” with some other text, the left “50 PORT 23 D” and the right “50”. Across the front of the box the text reads “Daily Double (CLARO)”. The interior of the box is simple except for the inside of the lid with features a red and yellow label that takes up the entirety of the lid. It reads “Daily Double” in yellow block print with a diagonal banner of a horse race and underneath, “Cigars” in handwriting font. In a circle on the left it reads “2 FOR 5 C (cents)” and at the bottom in a yellow stripe in black text “DOUBLE VALUE - DOUBLE SATISFACTION”. b) - d) are small boxes of Tintex Tints and Dyes. Each box features a significant amount of text including “All-fabric” in a handwriting font, “Tintex Tints & Dyes” “”CELANESE” OTHER RAYONS NYLON”, “COTTON, WOOL, SILK, LINEN AND ALL MIXTURES”. The front of the box features an illustration of a stereotypical housewife of the 1940s holding up a pink garment in front of a sink. Text along the sides includes notes on the product, other Tintex products, and on the back instructions for use of product. Inside each box features a packet of the dye in powder form concealed in an envelope and another piece of paper with instructions. 1.6 x 6.0 x 9.5cm. Each box has the dye colour written in the top right corner:b) “25 NAVY BLUE”c) “1 TURQUOISE BLUE”d) “25 NAVY BLUE”
