The ski poles have metal baskets soldered on to main shaft. The base is a triangular shaped piece 8.7 cm at the back tapering to the front which is 2.5 cm high. The whole sculpture, excluding the poles, is painted silver.

Brass plates nailed on to wooden base indicating Peter Whyte Memorial Trophy and winners.
