- William D. Buck, 1859-1922, was born in England and is thought to have served during the First World War with the 103 Calgary Rifles. Buck was a Sergeant at the Banff and Castle Mountain internment camps, ca.1915-1917, and appears to have accompanied prisoners to a camp at Kapuskasing, Ontario after closure of the Castle Mountain camp in 1917.

Album was inscribed: to Dear Winnie, with love from Grandad, Xmas 1919.

- John (Jack) Hewiston Hayes, 1921-1993, was a ski instructor, soldier and businessman at Banff, Alberta, Canada. Hayes came to Banff from England as a small child. In 1936 he worked for Brewster Transport as a pony boy and became a driver in 1939. In 1941, he joined the Royal Air Force, Squadron 254, training in Canada at Claresholm, Alberta and elsewhere. Beginning July 1943, Hayes served on over 50 flying missions oversees and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in May 1944. After the war he resumed his career with Brewster Transport, eventually becoming President. In 1978 he went into business with the purchase of the Jasper Sky Tram. Hayes retired in 1980.

- William Henderson Watts (1870-1955) was born in Baltimore, MD on February 21, 1870 to William Watts, Jr and Hannah Amanda (Henderson) Watts. He graduated Virginia Theological Seminary in 1900; ordained a deacon October 1900 by Bishop Whittle; ordained a priest June 1901 by Bishop Gibson. He married Mary Gardiner Bach on January 26, 1903.

- Fonds consists of letters written by Mary Schäffer Warren to William Henderson Watts. Letters document Mary Schäffer Warren's disappointment in the U.S.'s lack of support for the Allies in Europe. Letters also deal with Schäffer Warren's sentiments regarding the loss of Canadian men during the war and the loss of her nephew Eric Sharples. Letters cover the period 1916-1920 and were originally part of a scrapbook compiled by William Henderson Watts which was arranged in chronological order between 1912 and 1924 and contained approximately 200 documents.
- Also included is a newspaper clipping of article written by Mary S. Warren "A Letter From the Somme Battle Front", 1916.

- The Colonel Moore Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion was established at Banff, Alberta, Canada in 1966, replacing the Banff War Veterans Incorporated, 1926-1966, which in turn replaced the Great War Veteran's Association, 1918-1926. - Roy Andersen was born in Kirkenes, Norway and moved to Canada with his family in the 1950s. He has a "Diploma in Sports Administration" and taught skiing as a member of the Les Voyageurs Ski School (affiliated with the Sunshine Ski School) and is the recepient of the "Alberta Achievement Award" due to his contributions to the sport of skiing. He has been a freelance commercial photographer for 30 years and also trained to be a pilot in the 1960s. After flight school, he continuted to each skiing and did the promotional work for the Banff Chair Lift. Roy Howard Andersen and Ellen Beatrice Wilson married on December 27, 1969 at Rundle United Church.
