A grey fabric-bound sketchbook with “Sketches” [cursive] embossed in burgundy on the front cover and a small fabric pencil sleeve attached to the inside of the back cover that belonged to Peter Whyte. The original pages of the sketchbook seem to have been removed at some point - the book is full of loose pieces of paper, some of which may be original to the sketchbook. Sketches feature figure studies, cars, wildlife, and graded sampler sheets done by Peter as part of his coursework at the Boston School of Fine Art.

Spiral-bound sketchbook with brown thick card stock covers that belonged to Peter Whyte. Printed on the front cover is “The Beverly Spiral Sketch Book, (Rough Surface), For Pencil, Watercolors, Crayon and Ink, M” in dark brown. Sketches feature Christmas card ideas, figure studies, teepee interiors, rows of teepees with people in front/around them, animals, a house [done in watercolour paints, possibly by a child named Ian], and the funeral of Chief David Bearspaw, 1956. Some pages appear to have been torn from other sketchbooks and inserted in this one - there are also smaller papers of sketches folded up and tucked between the pages.
