File includes: advertising cards depicting the "Man Fish" of Lake Minnewanka at the Banff Indian Trading Post; a list of names of Stoney Nakoda community members commissioned to make souvenirs for the Indian Trading Post [1945-1950?]; flyers and tickets for film showings of ā€œMighty Lakā€™ a Roseā€, ā€œThe Dawn Patrolā€, ā€œCaptain of the Guardā€, "Lilies of the Field" and "Make Me a Star" at the Lux Theatre between 1923 and 1938; a pamphlet pertaining to the King Edward Hotel; and stationery with letterheads promoting the King Edward Hotel and the Luxton Museum.

History / Biographical
Mary Belle Rich was a published poet and children's book author. Mary Belle grew up in Buffalo, New York before purchasing a large ranch and moving to Pincher Creek, Alberta in her adult years. Mary Belle's best-known work is her compilation of children's poems, titled "Fairy Tales and Grown-up Talk" (published ca.1913).
Scope & Content
File consists of one photograph of Mount Rundle on construction paper, annotated with an original poem by Mary Belle Rich. Photograph and poem were gifted to Norman Luxton.

History / Biographical
William McCartney Davidson (1872-1942) was born in Ontario and worked as a journalist in Toronto before moving to Calgary and purchasing "The Albertan" newspaper in 1902. William published the newspaper for 24 years, before selling the company in 1926. William and his wife, Ethel Heydon (? - 1969), moved to Victoria, British Columbia in 1930. Between 1938 and his death in 1942, William wrote a daily editorial article for The Albertan titled "Today, Tomorrow and Yesterday".
