Description
A pair of very long, brown varnished wood, jumping skis with metal bindings. Skis are thicker at the centre, tapering toward the tail and the tip which curves upward slightly and is carved into a lancet arch with a small protrusion at the point. Bottom of each ski has three tracking grooves, top has faint incised lines following the edges of the ski and forming an arch within the arch of the tip. Metal bindings consist of a large metal plate with toe brackets which secure boot by means of a thick leather strap which buckles over boot. A.L.&W. Mikro Skirite, Toronto , a small metal bracket with four slots for adjusting ski cable in front if large plate. "Kandahar" Made in Switzerland), a small bracket on either side of the middle edge of the ski with two hooks for the cable. Two large round holes joined by a slot which pass through the ski from one side to the other just beneath the large metal plate, have been plugged with wood and mastic of some sort. Note: a series of drilled holes approximately 12 cm. long are in front of the small cable adjusting bracket.

Illegible letters are stamped on one side and “JAPAN” is stamped on the other. (b) smaller (4.4 cm length) brass coloured on top, tin on bottom. Small round tube with flanges on either side which are crimped together to form seam. Flange is square at bottom. Mouthpiece flattens and is bent downward slightly, semicircular notch at point where mouthpiece flattens on top.

Description
A large suitcase wardrobe of greenish coarsely woven fabric laminated to a wooden form, trimmed with leather, having a handle at the end and another at the side, and with brass fittings. Three striped white bands encircle the case lengthwise in the middle, with a bold red and black stripe girding across its width. Edges are trimmed with heavy leather, and handles are of leather. Single brass fitting on each long side, and two at the handle end with large brass locking latch between. Four small button feet at hinged end, opposite handled end , and four larger button feet on one large side to support when opened. Many rectangular heavy canvas patches are glued to suitcase. Large "Southampton" sticker at top," and remnants of a few others which have been torn, off. Lid is cut at angle. Interior lined with watered light green moire. Base of case compartmentalized, and covered with a curtain backed with tan felt which snaps at back of the case. The lid of the case has a bracket at the top holding two large wooden hangers for suits and dresses. Two elasticized straps fasten across to hold garments in place. Another curtain falls down to cover the garments on the lid hangers. Two silver coloured keys "123" fastened with a loop of string to the side handle, fit the latch at the end which is also numbered "123". Lid is supported by two metal braces while open.

Suitcase is rectangular box of natural coloured pigskin covering a stiff, cardboard? form. Leather is stitched on and reinforced at corners with heavy leather patches riveted on. Box like lid stitched to bottom across back and supported inside with two strap hinges. Two heavy brass snap latches with keyholes in round locks on each side, English Lever". Heavy leather handle attached to middle of one side with heavy brass fittings. Inside lined with leather and has two canvas straps attached to bottom to secure clothes. Covered with travel stickers of hotels, steamship lined, railroads, etc. from around the world.

Description

Suitcase is stiff wooden box covered with deeply grained black leather, reinforced at corners with small leather patches. Heavy handle completely covered with same leather. Two brass snap latches with keyholes in squares beside. Key attached to handle with string, interior completely lined with buff coloured moire, with shallow, 5.5 cm box like tray the full size of the suitcase, resting on two small ledges inside at the top. Tray lifts out with two leather tabs. Single large pocket across the lid fastens at the middle with a leather tab. Suitcase covered with travel stickers from around the world.
